Hospital Bridgend

The Princess of Wales Hospital Bridgend, is a major acute secondary care district general hospital.  The Hospital also has a Surgical Materials Testing Laboratory funded by the Welsh Assembly to provide testing and technical services on medical devices.  Opened in 1985 within the Bro Morganwg NHS Trust, and is located on the outskirts of Bridgend, The Princess of Wales Hospital is one of the most modern hospitals in Wales. The Hospital provides a comprehensive range of acute surgery and medicine for patients of all ages, including inpatient, outpatient and day services. 

Facilities include:

  • Accident & emergency,
  • mental health,
  • gynaecology,
  • surgery,
  • palliative care, and
  • diagnostic services (such as imaging and pathology).
